Module Components

There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to meeting the education and support needs of people with schizophrenia. Therefore, flexibility is the hallmark of this counseling program. Each module in this counseling program contains learning activities, client handouts, and a content refresher.

Based on your assessment of clients’ needs and learning styles, it is your choice to decide which activities and handouts to include in each session.

Learning Activities The learning activities engage clients in discussion by encouraging them to share their stories and address challenges they may be facing as they move toward recovery.
Client Handouts When used in combination with individual or group discussions with clients, these reproducible handouts serve as a useful starting point for making future plans and determining action steps.
Content Refresher Whether you are a new or experienced practitioner, this information is a valuable reinforcement of your existing knowledge. Written using simple language, it provides you with a framework for addressing the module content with clients.
