Welcome to Connections & CareWelcome to Connections & Care, a counseling program for clinicians working with people with schizophrenia. Created in collaboration with clinicians in mental health care and sponsored by Janssen, Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., this program has been specially designed to help you help your clients move along the path toward recovery.

As clinicians well know, recovery does not mean cure for people with schizophrenia. It means learning to manage the illness, achieving personal goals, and moving ahead with their lives. It also means restoring important aspects of life that make it worth living — self-esteem, dreams, self-worth, pride, choice, dignity, and meaning. With the help of mentalhealth practitioners like you, many people with schizophrenia develop their own definition of recovery, viewing it as a process rather than a destination.
